3 boys rescued through newest pilot project

Three boys, ages 8, 9 and 11, have been rescued from sexual abuse and are receiving care.

The boys were all being abused by a local business owner. The grandmother of one of the children bravely sought out our team to get help for her grandson after she discovered what he had endured.

Our teams will provide counseling to the boys and will work to empower all three families economically so the young boys can attend school.

The man was arrested but later released. Our team continues to gather evidence in hopes the police can take further action against the alleged perpetrator.

A 32-year-old man had targeted a small village and lured six boys, ages 12 to 17, out of Nepal with false promises of good jobs and by using an uncommon, remote route.

The families immediately filed missing persons cases, which alerted both the police and our teams. Within hours, one of our informants noticed a man traveling with a group of boys matching the missing persons’ descriptions and our rescue agents coordinated a rescue alongside police and anti-trafficking units that same day.

The boys were reunited with their families, the trafficker has been arrested and the families have pressed charges.
